I'm Sharon Smith, a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia with a deep love for great wine and the connections it creates. To me, wine has always been more than just what’s in the glass—it’s about the people, the places, and the stories we share around every bottle.
A Personal Journey With Wine
For years, my late fiancé, Sean, and I owned a boutique wine shop in Ashburn, Virginia. It was our passion project—curating unique wines, building relationships with winemakers, and, most importantly, fostering a community of people who loved discovering wines together. We weren’t just selling bottles; we were creating an experience, a place where people could feel connected—to the wine, to us, and to each other.
When Sean passed away from brain cancer in March 2024, my world shattered. But the love we shared—for each other, for wine, and for the incredible community around us—remained. It became my foundation, giving me a way to honor Sean and everything we built together while charting my own path forward.
The Heart of Hello Beautiful
Hello Beautiful Wines was born from that love—a way to carry forward what Sean and I started while creating something new. My focus now is on discovering and bringing exceptional, small-production wines to our area—bottles crafted by passionate winemakers who pour their heart into every detail. Each wine I select is meant to find the right people, those who will appreciate not just the juice but the story behind it.
